Netsawubet - One of the 10 under construction sugar factories, Tana Beles sugar factory, starts full production.
PM Abiy inaugurated the factory today after passing the test production
evaluation for the last two weeks,
It is reported that the factory has the capacity of producing 12
tons of sugar daily and 372,000 tons annually, and will crush 160,000 tons raw sugarcane
every day.
The government has invested 19 billion ETB to complete the
project and believe the factory will create job for more than 80, 000 youths
and elevate the nationwide shortage of sugar.
